Adsense Is Dead

Every week I hear someone saying that Adsense is dead, you have
probably heard the same. But let me tell you that although I
don’t make a huge sum of money from Adsense I still make a few
hundred dollars a month from Adsense, and by the way I don’t have
hundreds of sites. Most of my revenue comes from only 4 sites !!

A friend of mine, Stephen Crooks  started a very popular thread
on the Warrior Forum $100 a day Adsense challenge

The challenge was to create a Wordpress blog from scratch that
would make $100 a day in 3 months.

This was a tall order, he failed. By the end of the 3 months his
blog was up to $20 a day, but hey that’s $680 a month !! Two
months later his blog was up to $40 a day, not bad…

Stephen has put together a blueprint of his system, it is what I
use for all my Adsense sites. It’s an easy way of generating a
few hundred bucks a month on auto pilot.

I have a lot of mini review sites that are doing quite well. I
build a very basic web site, a kind of fact sheet with a 200 word
mini review. Each site has between 5 - 10 reviews. The best part
is I can get a site like this up very quickly.  I have about 30
of these sites up now and although some sites get very few sales,
most of my sites get a few sales a week, it soon adds up. I have
sites that I have not touched for over a year and are still
getting sales every month.

And I have to tell you Cc that the best part is that you
don’t need lots of traffic to make consistent sales each month.
Most of my sites only get 5 to 10 unique visits a day, but I
still get sales from these sites each week.

I learned all this from The Conduit Method by Chris Rempel.

http://sarahstaar.com/R/Conduit-Method.php

It is one of the simplest and most effective ways to make money
as an affiliate that I know of, whether you are an experienced
guru or even if you are a complete newbie you can benefit from
this…..

The Conduit Method is an ideal system to give an outsource
person, I am in the process of outsourcing my  Conduit web sites
so I can get 20 built a month. If I only get 1 or 2  x $47 sales
per site per month, well you do the math.

Right now you can get the The Conduit Method for only $15 so it
is fairly cheap. I would also recommend his other product  - Site
Layouts That Sell.

One of the biggest challenges I find when sitting at my computer is actually getting things done. You may have a plan to build a website, promote it with adwords, do some split testing and all those good things - but when you sit down at your computer and start to read your e-mails then you start looking at the special offers, start buying stuff, you know what I’m talking about ?

probably been there yourself.

And now with the advent of instant messaging and Skype things have only got worse. I find the best thing to do is write a To Do List. What I do is decide upon a monthly plan, A weekly plan, and a daily plan.

I have a kind of target to work towards and that makes life easier. I know that my monthly plan is to build say 10 affiliate websites and that is what I can work towards. Then when I sit down on a Monday morning I will write a to-do list for the day, that way I will not waste my day on forums, reading sales pages of products I probably won’t buy, and chatting on Skype!

When you have a to-do list for the day it’s amazing how much work you can get done. I can usually get twice the amount of work completed when I have a clearly laid out to-do list for the day.

Your monthly to-do list can be sort of a target, things you would like to get done this month but I find that the daily to-do list of things that I’m definitely going to do that day is the real driver.

The weekly and monthly To Do List I use mainly to keep focussed on what my objective is for this month, I find it really easy to get sidetracked by the hundred of other things that come in during the week and demand my attention, you know the little “dramas” that take place, fixing things that have gone wrong and that shouldn’t have……

The little things that creep up on you and steal your time away…

The One Thing

Making money online has always been a very private affair for me. I sit at my computer late at night (like many of you do I suspect) tapping away, setting up Adwords campaigns, or building blogs. I then check my sales every morning when I get up.

However, recently I started to go out to Internet marketing meetings and events where I started to meet real people who make money online. Not all the people I meet make money, many have just as much knowledge as me or even more in some cases but just don’t seem to be to make any money online.

I always thought this was strange until I went to a couple of Internet marketing seminars  - Frank Garons More Traffic Bigger List workshop  & Mark Anastasis Traffic Generation Summit. These were great events but I have to say if I wasn’t making money online I wouldn’t know where to start because when you attend one of these events you are bombarded with system after system, sort of an information overload.

It soon became apparent after talking to a few people that they didn’t know where to start, so instead of taking action they would buy yet another e-book or another course but would still never take action, its like buying something was a susbtitute for taking real action
.
So ………my thought is this

You’ve got to concentrate on the one thing !

and then……..

Start with the one thing you’ll feel most comfortable starting out with !

If you are a good writer, then that could be article marketing. If you are dyslexic like me you might want to concentrate your efforts on something like affiliate marketing with Google Adwords, or video marketing.

But it all boils down to taking action and concentrating on one thing. Only buy a course or e-book if you know you’re going to take action after reading the book. Read the book go through chapter by chapter and implement what it says. This is what I do , I have a very strict rule that I do not buy a new book or course until I have completely tried out what the course or book outlined.

At Frank Garons  More Traffic Bigger List workshop I filmed several interviews with people at the event and asked them what their top Internet marketing tips were. The responses were very interesting because nearly everybody said the most important thing was to concentrate on one thing and take action. I will include a link to these videos in the next newsletter, they make very interesting viewing.

So remember concentrate on the one thing….

With the economy still going through hard times, people everywhere are looking for a few extra ways to turn a profit. There are a lot of methods out there, if one looks very carefully. Most of them can be found right at your fingertips, on the Internet.

There are a wide variety of websites that pay members to take surveys. Some pay an up front cost, and others may offer entry into a contest, but the option is an easy way to earn some cash on the side. Websites like surveyspot.com, globaltestmarketing.com, and others are good places to start looking for this kind of work.

Another method that many people have been using is to sell things on ebay.com. Ebay, one of the largest Internet auction sites, allows people to sell their belongings to the highest bidder. Whether its antiques, books, art, or pretty much anything, ebay provides an easy marketplace to earn some quick cash.

There are also a variety of businesses which can be run out of a person’s home. Pyramid schemes abound, but there are a great deal of jobs for people who wish to act as marketing for established companies. By setting up your own website, often with the company’s help, you help the company sell product (vitamins, groceries, whatever they sell) and receive a percentage of all the product that you help move. No storage, and no work beyond talking to people and getting the word out.

Though the market is down at the moment, scrap metal is always needed. Whether it’s aluminum cans, steel car frames, or cast iron fences, there are scrap yards that will pay for these and other metals. Taking the time to look around might reveal that there’s more of value in your trash than you thought.

Ebooks haven’t made good on their original threats to replace paperbacks, but they are a sizable market. However, much like other products, ebooks need marketers as well. By selling ebooks, once again through a website, you can receive a percentage of your sales and never have to leave home.

Adsense, while most people have used it, aren’t aware of it. When a website is displayed, ads usually pop up somehow. Every time those ads are clicked on, the owner of the website receives a fee. So, just by having a website, even if it’s something personal or niche, can earn money if visitors click on the advertisements.

Similar to survey websites, there are sites which will pay users for accomplishing a variety of tasks. Joining target programs, reading advertisement e-mail, and getting other users to sign up, for instance. Two of the more prominent examples of these pay sites are inboxdollars.com and tiktikcash.com.

It may not even be necessary to quit your current job to still work from home. For those who work in telemarketing, technical help, and other areas where all that’s needed is a phone and a computer, telecommuting to work is a great option. Through the use of technology, a worker simply connects to their employer’s website and signs in just like a time card. No travel time is required, you continue on with your chosen job, and all that’s needed at home is a computer and a phone, which many companies will provide for their telecommuting employees.

For those with a particular talent such as graphic art, interior design, or even sculpture or brewing, starting a business out of a hobby is becoming more and more common these days. If you have a talent at creating a product or offering a service, then start marketing yourself. Make up fliers, start a website, and find those who will commission you to do what you already love doing.

For writers, working at home is easier than many others. Places such as textbroker.com, about.com, demandstudios.com and others are constantly in need of content. No matter your area of expertise, these and other Internet based companies will allow you to work when you want, and how much you want, making the amount you could earn from your home computer limited only by the amount of work you’re willing to do.
